                                      These Tariffs Apply To “All The Rivers” and “Rivers Run”
                  

 

Tariff Conditions

 

          Long Weekends (3 nights), Some School Holiday Periods (see VACANCIES), Easter (4 nights), and

          Melbourne Cup Weekend (4 nights).

          looks as if we will not get a 2 night booking.  Single night rates will be more expensive than the prices shown.

 

 

 

Tariffs

 

 

o    $113 to $184 per night depending on number of nights stayed and the time of the year.

 

 

 

This table is an example of our BASE rates for the 1st Couple.  Depending on additional extras

added to the package the actual quoted tariff may be more.  These prices and any specials shown

on this website only relate to bookings made through this website and/or personally with us. 

These prices do NOT include: School holidays, Public holidays, Melbourne Cup and the Southern

80 Weekend.  Prices are valid until April 2010.

§  Extra child (3 to 17 years)

 

o    Up to $17.50 per night. The longer the stay and/or the more children the cheaper the rate.

                

 

§  Extra Child (12 months to under 3 years) 

 

o    $6.50 per stay or $16.50 per stay if a cottage bed is used.

 

 

§  Extra Child (Under 12 months)

 

o    No Charge.  A port-a-cot, high chair and baby’s bath are available free of charge.

 

 

§  Senior Card holders

 

o    Discount of 5 to 15%.  Available for 5 or more night stays, not including Weekends, School and Public

      Holidays.   However a discount is available for most stays if the Senior Card holder is staying with full

DEPOSITS AND ACCEPTED PAYMENTS

 

 

Deposits

 

§  Once we have confirmed your booking the following deposit/s is/are required.

 

§  Bookings are secured when the required deposit is received within 7 days of making the booking.

 

§  For bookings made less than 2 to 3 months in advance, the deposit required is 40% of the total tariff.

 

§  For bookings made over 3 months in advance, the initial deposit that is required is $50, then an extra

      payment of the balance of the 40% of the total tariff is required at least 2 months before the scheduled stay.

 

§  You will receive confirmation that your payment has been received, you will also receive an information

package explaining all that is provided, a directional map, the check in procedure, etc.

 

 

 

Accepted Payment Methods

 

§  Deposits:

 

o    Make a Secure VISA, MasterCard or PayPal payment via this website.  You will find at link below or

alternatively at the bottom of the home page, this will take you to a secure website to make your payment.

 

o    Phone through your credit card details.  VISA, MasterCard.  Due to security reasons

            please don’t email credit card details. Phone: (03) 5482 5068. International: +613 5482 5068.  If

            there is no answer please leave a message on our answering machine and we will get back to you.

 

o    Post us a cheque or money order made out to: GR & CJ Thompson. 

            Post to: River Red Gum Cottages, P.O. Box 832, Echuca Victoria 3564.

 

o    By direct deposit into our bank account.

 

 

§  Balance Owed:

 

o    The remaining balance of the total tariff must be made upon arrival at the cottage or prior to the

 the arrival date.

 

o    Payment may be made upon arrival by VISA, MasterCard, Eftpos, money order, bank cheque or by cash.

 

o    Payment made prior to your arrival date maybe made by any of the methods used to make deposit payments,

as long as sufficient time has been allowed for the funds to clear into our bank account.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS      

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy for Bookings made directly with us.

 

 

§  Cancellation with Greater than 56 Days Notice.

 

o    The refund amount will be the deposit paid, less a cancellation fee of $10.

Therefore if you had only paid your initial $50 deposit your refund would be $40.

 

 

§  Cancellation with Less than 56 Days Notice.

 

o    A refund will only be given if we are able to rebook the cottage.  The more notice that is given

the increased chance of us rebooking the cottage for some if not all of the nights of your

original booking. The refund will be equivalent to the deposit paid minus a cancellation fee of $30,

minus the difference between your original booking and what we are able to rebook the cottage for,

based on the tariff that gives you the best refund or possibly a full refund if we can rebook the cottage

for a greater amount than your original booking.

Are you confused??? Me too???  No not really, but it is hard to explain.  So here are two examples.

 

·         Example 1: If you booked a cottage for 5 nights for one couple and two children at a cost of $650

                    and you cancelled 2 weeks before your stay.  You would have already paid a deposit of $260. 

                    We were then able to rebook the cottage for 3 of those nights to one couple for $410.  The refund

                    you would receive would be $260 (your deposit) minus the cancellation fee of $30 minus the

                    difference between your original booking (based on one couple, in your case 5 nights for one couple

                    is $550) and what we were able to rebook the cottage for (based on the one couple, 3 nights for one

                    couple $410).  Therefore the refund would be: $260 - $30 – ($550 - $410) = $90.

 

·         Example 2: If you booked a cottage for 5 nights for one couple at a cost of $577 and you cancelled

            5 weeks before your stay.  You would have already paid a deposit of $231. 

                    We were then able to rebook the cottage for 4 of those nights to one couple and 2 children for $655. 

                    The refund you would receive would be $231 (your deposit) minus the cancellation fee of $30 minus

                    the difference between your original booking ($577) and what we were able to rebook the cottage for

                    ($655).  Therefore the “potential” refund would be: $231 - $30 – ($577 - $655) = $279.  But because this

                    amount is greater than your deposit your refund would be a full refund of your deposit: $231.

 

o    Because we can’t give you a refund until we know if we can rebook the cottage, you may not receive your

refund for up to 56 days, depending on when you cancelled.

Bookings made and paid through other agencies.

 

         This is because other agencies may have a different deposit and payment system to us and have their own

         cancellation fees.  We have taken this into account when we have formulated the cancellation and refund

         policy in respect to that booking agency.
